4An effective design that could use some quality improvements
By Loveetwar
Let me start by saying that this juicer makes excellent juice and is a lot easier to use than the 25-year old Big OJ juicer that I was using. I squeeze oranges and tangerines for my woman and I each night. So I use the juicer every day and the better design of this juicer has led me to squeeze more fruit than before.

The big lever drives the top piston onto the fruit and with one motion an orange or tangerine half gets well squeezed leaving little juice left in the pulp.

But there are a few areas that quickly stand out as being parts that could be easily improved. Let me add here that I am a quality professional and I often see potential improvements in products that others don't seem to mind or notice--until it is pointed out to them. Nevertheless here are some things that hold this back from being a great product. The actual lever arm can wobble from side to side. A small change in the design and manufacturing would make the arm totally stable and probably even more effective. The bottom holder or drain where the fruit is placed has two pieces, one is shaped like a drain and the other is convex to match the shape of the plunger that squeezes the fruit. And these two pieces, the drain and the convex holder are loosely held together. At times the convex holder sticks to the fruit and is pulled up and away from the drain. The tolerance of the two parts has to be lessened and some kind of clicking mechanism needs to be put in here to keep the two in place. Once again I do not think this is a big deal, and a small change could solve the problem.

The drain also does not click onto the base and the paint shows some chipping. This is not a very high quality item because of these small details even though it does get the job done.

The final comment is that for most households this size is probably too big. I keep it under a counter and I have been told that I am the only one who will be bringing it up from under the counter to the top of the counter.

The product is good and works but a few small improvements could make this a great product.

5Better than I ever would have thought
By Aaron Bond
First things first, yes to make juice this is a pretty expensive way compared to many other products. As a user of the many other juicing products I finally decided to step up to this thing. Lets face it, when you want quality and ease of use when buying any product look at what pro's use. After going to the fair and noticing every good lemonade stand using this type device I decide it was time to get one myself. You get every penny of expectation out of this thing. Its easy and fast to use, it yields (my guess) about 30% or more juice than using the old push down rotary style juicer. It is just great. I have tried the push down style, then even the kitchen aid mixer attachment. I just can't say enough good. I had a buddy cut and we juiced 3 gallons of orange juice in about 30-40 minutes clean up and all. Well it is one of those you get what you pay for items in my opinion. I know they make it more for a person making a glass or two, but for those of us that like to juice by the gallon it would have been nice if it came with some type large size container that fit under the juicer. Something that holds maybe about 48-64oz, even 32oz would be a nice addition. I just found a 64oz tupperware type container that fit under it well, two fill ups and I had a gallon.

4Great juicer - poor quality
By bikestuffreview
Great juicer - poor build quality. The paint finish it horrible.
Patches of paint can be seen. Unpainted areas exist.
However saying all that - it does great job as a juicer.
If you are not picky about the finish this product is perfect.
