2It all depends!

I ordered this product because I wanted to juice pomegranates, specifically. The machine was not the standard that I expected it to be so I returned it to the seller. Before using any product I wash it, and I washed the movable parts in the dishwasher with regular dishing washing Cascade liquid. There was no information booklet to say not to put it in the dishwasher. I learned from the seller that the received the part "de-oxidized" and wondered if I used a chemical on it...it did not look very good afterwards. I didn't. The return was handled very promptly and professionally. I didn't appreciate the fact that I had to bear the cost of mailing it back to the seller. Lesson learned: if you don't want a high quality machine, it is OK, but wash it only by hand with water if you don't want the metal to de-oxidized. A note should be put in the packing to indicate washing instructions and limitations for future customers.
